Formula one competition update

The Northgate Careers’ Formula 1 competition launched in April has been a huge success. The prize draw to attract more talent to Northgate gained nearly 1500 social media followers before the closing date on 22nd June.

The prize was to win a pair of tickets to the British Grand Prix  at Silverstone was promoted across the Northgate Careers social media platforms and it attracted people from a wide range of trades throughout the UK and the rest of the world. There was an increase in traffic to the website and across all our media platforms which led to an increase in job registrations and applications. In addition to the 1500 new followers there were  nearly 1300 retweets / shares.

The competition was an excellent use of social media, the aim was achieved and in addition, it was a great way to raise the profile of Northgate Plc. The lucky winner Stacey Akers, from Stevenage was randomly chosen by Richard Pearson.   She was delighted when she heard that she was our winner.  

Stacey said, ‘I couldn’t believe it when Northgate Careers contacted me to let me know I’d won, it was our wedding anniversary so the tickets were an amazing gift. I just cannot explain how happy I am.’

The Northgate Careers team would like to thank everyone who promoted the competition through their own individual social media profiles as this certainly helped ‘spread the word’.
