Recruitment Process

As you know, we like to keep things simple - it helps us find good matches for our business, and it makes it easier for you to find the opportunities that best suit your skills and experience.

Here's how our recruitment process works...

  • Step 1 - Apply

You can either apply for a specific role or send us your CV speculatively. Either way, we’ll confirm that we’ve received your details. Then, if we decide that the role isn’t right for you once we’ve reviewed your application, we’ll let you know by email.

  • Step 2 - Your first interview

If we decide that we’d like to take your application further, we’ll contact you to arrange an interview. We use a number of different interview types - including telephone and face to face interviews - all of which help us to make sure that you’re the right person for the job.

Your first interview will give us both an opportunity to talk through the role and check whether it’s something you’d definitely be interested in.

  • Step 3 - Your second interview

The next stage will involve an interview with your potential manager or you could be invited to attend one of our recruitment events.  Either way you’ll have plenty of opportunity to learn more about the role and what it’s like to work here.

After each stage, we’ll be in touch to discuss feedback and to keep you updated on progress.

Remember, if you can’t make it, or you need to change the date, please let us know as soon as you can.

  • Step 4 - Our decision

As soon as we have made our final decision we will be in touch to make a verbal job offer or explain to you why you have been unsuccessful. If you accept the job offer we will quickly follow it up formally in writing and agree your start date.

  • Step 5 - Joining us

You'll be given details on what to expect on your first day and the kind of support you can expect from us until you're fully up and running.

Within your first 3 months we'll invite you to attend our induction course at Head Office in Darlington.

We’re more than happy to answer any questions you have about our recruitment process, or about working at Northgate.

Just call us on 01952 212566, email us at [email protected] or write to us at Northgate Resourcing Centre, RBR House, Hawksworth Road, Central Park, Telford, TF2 9TU.
