Together, we're building something really special, and we recognise that the role our people play in helping us achieve our ambitions is key; we simply couldn't do it without them.
Its the reason why we announced in July 2012 an award of free shares to all colleagues who had been employed full time for more than 12 months. The award of the shares acknowledged the hard work of everyone over the year but more importantly it demonstrated Northgate’s desire to grow the business and give colleagues the chance to share in that success in the years to come.
250 free shares were made available to colleagues who had been employed for 12 months or more at 30th June 2012. This share award cost the individual no money and had no performance requirement attached to it. Employees may sell their shares after three years of ownership but any profits made on the sale of the shares will be taxed. However, if they are held for 5 years all profits will be tax free.
