Ben Nevis Trekking Team

On 13th October a team of 16 Northgate Vehicle Hire employees took on a sizable climbing challenge in aid of charity.

Supported and lead by guides Maximum Adventure, the team began a 1334 meter ascent up Ben Nevis. Battling foggy and icy conditions and plummeting temperatures the group reached the summit in five and a half hours where they stopped for a well-deserved break, a bite to eat and the perfect photo opportunity! The full trek took less than 10 hours to complete with all participants making it safely back to base camp.

Adrian Becket, Technical Support Manager commented:
“The trek presented us with quite a challenge, with the additional wintery weather conditions keeping us on our toes! We would like to thank all colleagues, family members and friends who donated money to these very worthy causes.”

The total amount raised was £1925, with funds split amongst a number of charities including the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Everyman Cancer, Help for Heroes and Cancer Research.
