Mobile Motor Vehicle Technician - fully qualified

Employer: Northgate plc
Job Title: Mobile Motor Vehicle Technician - fully qualified
Location: Egham
Salary: Up to £29,000 (dependent upon experience)
Benefits: Company pension and life assurance

Here at Northgate, everyone plays a part in what we do. We're the kind of people who love rolling up our sleeves and getting stuck in, and if you have a talent for delivering great service to our clients, we could have a big part for you to play too. We're the vehicle hire market leaders by fleet size in the UK and Spain. With over 60 vehicle hire sites and around 3,000 employees across the group we're continuing to grow year on year.

As a versatile Mobile Vehicle Technician you'll cover the Egham, Brent Cross, Luton and M25/M4 corridor areas. When not out responding to the needs of our customers, you'll be based in our workshop in Egham maintaining vehicles to the high standards set out in our Health and Safety policy. This includes carrying out inspections, repairs and services, checking vehicles against VOSA legislation, and handling and storing parts.

You'll also need to make sure all necessary paperwork is accurate and up to date. This means you'll need good communication skills and a good grasp of IT.

With NVQ/BTEC or City and Guilds Motor Vehicle Service and Repair level 3 qualifications or equivalent, you'll also have experience working as a fully qualified mechanic, ideally with commercial vehicles including HGV's. You'll be the kind of person who feels equally at home out on the road helping customers or based in a busy workshop.

It's important that you have a full driving licence up to 7.5 tonnes. An HGV licence and some experience in a vehicle fleet/rental company would also be useful.

In return, you'll discover a friendly and fast-paced working environment, and the chance to build a career that's just as exciting as our future.

We're offering a competitive salary, company van, 23 days holiday, pension and a flexible benefits scheme.

Northgate is committed to equality in the workplace and is an equal opportunities employer.
