Based from our Cannock 'hub' depot with regional responsibilities the Senior Safety Environment Advisor supports the Group Safety and Environment Manager in fulfilling the SHE objectives and responsibilities of the company. You will be directly responsible for the team of Regional Advisors overseeing their work, providing guidance and advice where required. Responsible for the management of the audit programme you will ideally come from a commercial, multi site environment and have significant experience of delivering SHE support and implementing SHE objectives in a pro-active and consultative way. Carrying out site inspections, visits and audits this role involves some overnight stays and travel.
You will have significant previous experience of working in a safety and environmental role. You will hold a NeBosh Certificate in Health and Safety and either an NVQ Level 4 in Occupational Health and Safety or a NeBosh Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety. A Nebosh or IEMA environmental qualification is also desirable. You will also be a member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and should hold or be working towards achieving CMISOH. You will have strong IT skills, be able to communicate and influence at all levels and hold a full Driving Licence. You will also have a flexible approach and ideally have previous supervisory experience.
