Workshop Manager

We are looking to recruit a Workshop Manager to run the workshop and manage the workshop team at our Derby depot. The key purpose of the role is to ensure the smooth running of the workshop in accordance with best practice and company processes delivering excellent customer service whilst managing costs effectively. Maintaining the health and safety culture is also key aspect of the role.

You will have attained City and Guilds Level 1, 2 and 3 (or equivalent) and have had exposure during your career working as a qualified mechanic in a similar environment. You will also have had experience leading a team within a vehicle workshop environment. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, be commercially aware, have experience of health and safety and have strong IT skills.

Skills and Experience required:

• Qualified mechanic (City & Guilds level 1, 2 and 3 or equivalent)
• Maths and English GSCE grade C or above (or equivalent)
• Full driving licence
• BSC Health and Safety Level 2 is desirable
• Experience of managing a team in a vehicle workshop environment
• Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service
• Excellent communication skills at all levels
• Excellent organisation and time management skills
• Commercially aware
• Excellent IT skills
